    Cape of Good Hope

We visited Cape Town over New Years Eve 2013/14 and as you would imagine, any city ringing in the new year is going to have a bit of a different flair than it normally would!

    Marrakech

Marrakech is sensory overload – in the best way!  As you approach the souks through the square you are met with every smell you can imagine, people as far as your eye can see and everything from Monkeys to Cobra snakes being draped around tourists shoulders!

    Stellenbosch

Stellenbosch and Cape Town are snuggled right next to each other and an easy drive apart.  We kicked off our time in South Africa with a couple nights out in wine country, along with two of our close friends from California who happened to be traveling there as well!  The hovering mountains that circled the valley were strikingly beautiful and the rolling hills of vineyards rivaled the beauty of California wine country.

    South Africa Safari

I am an animal lover.  If you show me any kind of animal, doing animal things – I’m sold.  I was beside myself throughout this experience…sometimes with excitement, sometimes with fear.  What a world God has created for us to enjoy!

    Rwanda

The “path” we walked was thick and dense and though our guides used a machete to break through it, attempting to clear a walkway, there was still so much brush to hop over, climb under, or just plain plow through.  It made you feel like a real adventurer!  As we came into the clearing where the gorillas were located, it was the most magnificent sight.  Nothing can quite compare to seeing Silverback gorillas face to face in their jungle.
